How do You Pick your battles with your partner?

It makes me so mad sometimes, but I know it's silly to discuss anything that anyone stupid of us, how do married couples choose their battles? If your husband or wife isses p-off, how do you stay calm and let go? I have to be better in this, any advice would be helpful.

I wonder, "What does it matter in the grand scheme of things?" If you do not collects her underwear I'm not going to divorce him after her. If he despises me, makes an unacceptable statement, threatens me with physical harm or degrade me in any way then he strikes me as a person and I will not stand for that. When I get really annoying, especially if you are being silly or illogical, I imagine it will not be capable of all Still I understand and I'm not going to stress out about it. In my mind tells me "You're so stupid, but so cute. You're lucky I love you." Everything else only creates more tension. Life is too short for lots of drama.
