What I can use as a substitute for an egg in a cake mix?

Snowed in and bored, want to bake a cake. Mix 3 eggs needs, only has 2. What will make a good substitute, giving the same 'lift' and humidity? Wow! And they wonder why we ask here instead of looking on our own. May wins, hands down – and someone went to a lot of extra effort (you know who you are) and get 10 points in a few hours. For baking 1 egg = 2 tablespoons liquid + 2 tablespoons flour + ½ tablespoon butter + ½ teaspoon baking powder (Recipe Ingredients Substitution by Becky Sue Epstein and Hilary Dole Klein. O Ener-G Egg Replacer (Substitute 1 1 / 2 teaspoons Egg Replacer more 2 tablespoons water for each egg called for in the recipe.) Bananas or (Substitute 1 / 2 of a mashed ripe banana plus 1 / 4 teaspoon baking powder for each egg.) Or tofu (Substitute 1 / 4 cup tofu per egg.) Or fat fruit substitutes (Substitute 2 tablespoons fat substitute for each egg in the recipe.)
